The owner had used her for packing so she was use to a saddle and carring weight. He had a round pen to use, but I'm not thinking she had ever been round penned before since she came at me kicking whenever I asked for anything faster then a slow jog. As you can tell by the pictures she's very plump. It took about two 30 minute sessions to get her over this. After about 2 hours of groundwork I got on. She did fine, except when I asked for the first trot and she didn't want to she went back into her kicking fits. She quickly got over that when she realized she wasn't getting anywhere. She's now finishing beginning training basics. She's soft in the bridle and moves off leg pressure.
