I Offered to work with Dixie for the experience. Her owner bought her at 7 months not knowing much about horses and let her stand in the pasture. So I started working with her and after about 4 days of ground work I figured it was time to try getting on her...... |

.....Little did I know it would take another 2 days to get on her and staying on was another story. She was rearing and threatening to lie down. So my mom suggested lounging her 'til she could go no more to get all the energy out of her. It worked!!!! |

My second day on her The rigging in the saddle broke and we then found out the owners saddle had a broken tree along with it! So we tried bareback. |

She was still pretty starteled about the saddle when I was tring to get on bareback. But after about 40 minutes she started to relax and hasn't offered to buck since the saddle was off! (mental note to self: always check saddle before use!) |
