I bought Boston in late August. I want to use him for speed events, cutting, pleasure and reining. We've been working on getting him patterned to the speed events and reining. |

I want to use him for mainly western events but then I turn around and ride him mostly english or bareback. |

These photos were taken in September when he'd only been 3 weeks under saddle. He didn't do anything at the begining and still hasn't. Besides kick up his heals because he hadn't been ridden for a about a week or two. |

I think in a few years when he gets old enough I will try jumping him but for the time being we'll stick with flat work. |

One thing for reining, he's got to know what WHOA means. So every time we stop, I let him take a few minute break as a reward for doing as told. |

I had some poles set up to walk over and he ended up knocking one down, OOPS, and so I had to put it back up because my sister was jumping her POA mare over them. |
