| Let me tell you all not to let school be the leader of your life. You need a social life in order to keep from sending yourself to the white padded rooms. Everything has changed from what it used to be and I dot' like what I see in the future. When we were little and no one cared about school as much as they did now and 1000 was a GREAT SAT score, teachers didn't care how kids got work done as long as they did it. Colleges weren't concerned with how many AP courses you took and whether or not you took part in extracurricular activities. Now a days without breaking at least a 1200 on your SATs you are almost considered clinically stupid. Without like 10 AP classes throughout high school you can kiss that dream college goodbye and if you copied one word of a site on line consider yourself reamed in the ass by the school and brought down on plagerism charges. It sickens me to think that the world has become so hard on teenagers these days that there isn�t' any amount of time for them to have any kind of social life. Besides school look at media. Girls are dropped into columns and standards now where if you don�t' fit that size 4 skirt your are ugly and no one can look at you. Skinny ass twigs posted all over magazine covers and wall and nothing but NSYNC and BSB blasting from radios of little teenage girls all around he country. You are brought up to believe that being different is wrong and being an outcast leaves you with nothing but a lonely life, and that it is your fault because you didn�t' want to conform to the rest of the world. Well I apologize but being a conformist is not something I see to pride yourself on. Why on earth would you want to be like every other person in the world, when you could be YOURSELF? Do we hate ourselves so much that we feel the need to be like other people? IT SICKENS ME TO DEATH to think that with out that PRADA bag or that new shirt from the GAP or the LIMITED that you are less of a person. CUZ IT IS BULLSHIT. Shoes from Steve Madden or from K-Mart shouldn't decide who you are. NSYNC or Ozzy Osbourne shouldn't decide whether you fit in the world. God it pisses me off so much. The fact that the way you dress, what you listen to and what you do in school means so much I wonder why I haven't gone insane sooner. "There are two kinds of people in the world. Me and everyone else." Live by this phrase and do not conform because you are told to or at least don't be closed minded and put down others because they chose a different path. The world sucks today but don�t take it out on others. |
