Over this past season, Keenan (Pronounced KEEEEEEE-nan) McCardell became my favorite football player.  He has been on my fantasy football team since I started my league back in 1997, and has produced every year.  Though he is the number two receiver on the Jaguars behind Jimmy Smith, he has known as a legitimate threat to any time.  He was voted to the Pro Bowl two times (1996 & 1998) and is always among the AFC leaders in Receiving.  2001 was a tough year for Keenan as he had to start the season reovering from a hernia operation (He had to carry the whole team too many times), so he didn't have the greatest numbers, although still respectable.  Sadly, Keenan was traded by The Loop to make a run at the playoffs, but he understood that it was a team decision that worked out for The Best (pun intended) because Loop went on to win his 3rd XFFL Championship.  The Jaguars did not protect Keenan in the Houston Texans expanison draft, but the Texans didn't capitalize on this by not picking Keenan.  They never realized how great of a leader Keenan is now on the Jaguars and how great he could have been on the Texans, especially since he would have been returning to his hometown.  Don't be surprised to see Keenan light up the Texans when he plays them in an AFC South battle.  Look for Keenan to return to the 3-Time XFFL Champions, The Loop, next year.  This man is definitely Best-Approved.

2002 Preseason Update:
Keenan was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to join Keyshawn Johnson as one of the best WR duos in all of football.  Keenan has quietly been one of the most productive and consistant receivers for the past 5 years.  Keenan should really help the Bucs' recent Offense roles, and will open up Keyshawn for more TD's (He only had 1 last year)  Both Keenan and Keyshawn were drafted to the XFFL defending champions, Loop is the Best.  Look for these two to lead the Bucs to a NFC South Title and Loop is the Best to a 4th XFFL Championship.
