Former astrophysicist imprisoned for years

WASHINGTON-Allegedly, a former astrophysicist for the fledgling U.S. space program was imprisoned in a mental institution for over thirty years to hide his involvement in faking the Apollo moon missions in the late sixties and early seventies. Dr. Albert Lochner was a civilian consultant for NASA during the Apollo test stages and alleges that he was blackmailed into assisting with covering up the fakery when FBI agents kidnapped his then girlfriend and told him he would never see her again if he didn't do as they asked. He spent the next two years in the custody of the FBI and later was hooked on psychotropic pills and convinced he was insane. He was released Thursday and has filed suit in federal court demanding damages and an apology from the U.S. government.
