I love animals, especially canines... I wish people were more like them. I have a Rottweiler named Persi Stence; my baby, although in people years she's 49. We took basic obedience classes, together. I did have 2 other Rottweilers; Bo and BV. Bo was a retired stud, a friend had given me as a playmate for Persi as she was getting to big for me to wrestle. We weigh about the same, now. Bo was a German Rott; big and beautiful, he weighed about 150 after I had him for a month. He looked funny from malnutrition when I first got him; you could see his bones and the biggest thing on him was his head. I made his retirement years better; I know when he passed he was happier than when I got him. BV; short for Beavis, I was babysitting and eventually he became mine. I could walk all three on leashes as Persi was trained for my left side, Bo on the right and BV out in front. Being that BV was the youngest; a pup, he thought he should be the leader, so I let him have it. I would take all three to a park to let them run free, they loved it. This park had a creek that BV would run first for; my water dog. Persi can't stand to get her paws wet. I had to give BV away when I moved to OK; I miss him. Alright, that's enough about my dogs. Batcat; my black male feline is a chicken, scared of everything. Bat is 6 months older than Persi, so I raised them together. They get along great, except when Persi puts her nose in his butt. I love it when I go to the toilet and have one on each side of me begging for attention; we make a funny site. They make an intimidating pair; a black cat and a big Rotty. Visit often as this also is a work in progress...
Update 2006: God wanted my babies; Batcat and Persi. I had to let them go to Him about a year apart. Persi went 1st, as she got cancer in her stomach and Batcat got a bacteria that a Vet couldn't remove. I was blessed with them for 11 years. |
