Our campsite

Here is our home base for the weekend, where there is plenty of people to hang out with and play music with.  Some how we have ended up camping in almost the same location every year, and I have a feeling we will continue to do so.

We made it back to the lost world again this year.  I just love it here.  We both took friday off so we could 'get here early.'  Unfortunatly, we also went to East Lansing the night before in an effort to meet, leave one car, and go to the show together.  Due to some unforseen circumstances, we slept in, and were not there when the "gates opened" as planned.  Lucky we got there when we did, since the world was almost completely full.  Next year you'll see us at the gate (yeah).

From the 1999 festival...
Shortly after arriving here on Friday night we discovered that we had no tent poles.  So we slept in the car later that night.  But, being the special place that wheatland is, a freind of ours loaned us a tent on Saturday night, and we couldn't have been happier.  So after Friday nights rest, here in the lost world, we gathered our senses and got started with breakfast.  Liz and Lisa got started with eggs and coffe before the others arose

from their respective tents. After the delicious breakfast, we got our cooler on wheels ready and headed for the main stage.  It is always amazing to once again  see  the stage and all the fellow wheatlanders . We parked ourselves by the dance floor, which gave us a great opportunity to photograph everyone movin' to the music.

Another great thing about the festival is that if there is something on the main stage that doesn't interest you than there are plenty of other musicians playing, and it is a must to see the artist tents.  They have everything from paining, mixed-media art, wearable art, and glass blowing

Here's how to get back
