| Tim O'Brien and "The Crossing"- on the stage and in the tent, tim and his fellow musicians are a tremendous force in this whole genre of music. He brought some great vocalists along this year, namely Karen Casey, an amazing vocal presence. May of his new songs bridge the gap between new and old world music, between Irish and North American folk music, which he has shown us share many similarities. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Los Plaineros de la 21-I loved the percussion and vocals of this band, I think that drumming on the main stage is a great thing, andhow about when they joinned the crossing on stage! | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Hillbilly Idol | ||||||||||||||||||||
| On the Teen Scene | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Steppin' In It-caught them from outside the tent, and for this performance there werew probably more adults watching from the outside than teens dancing from the inside. | ||||||||||||||||||||

| Our Favorites from 1999... Barton and Sweeney-beautiful guitar/voice blending, with masterful percussion and tremendous energy Patty Larkin-One of Karrie's faves, this woman simply jams. 'Me and that train' reminded us of hitting a blizzard out in Nebraska while en route to JH, WY The Freight Hoppers-more sound crowded around a single microphone than I have ever seen. Foot stompin' traditional that this festival was created for. |
