The Journey
I have walked alone for too many a
year
Mingling my cup of sweet wine
With so many heartfelt bitter tears
Waiting for someone as yourself
A loving giving and a nurturing
soul
To whisk me off this
shelf of all
consuming loneliness
Ever since I met you; my heart has
come alive
With a certain feeling I cannot
begin to hide
When I'm in your
arms and we're all alone
My troubles tend
to leave me to seek
another home
I can't even reach
them; not that I'd ever
try
It's true my Love that I want you
for all time
Come along with me my Precious One
Together we shall make our very own
rhyme
And carry us away to a new land we
can share
The journey is a pleasant one that
will take us to where
We can be together; as two stranded
on an isle
