Hello Friend

I tried to place myself in your shoes today...
attempting to understand the reasons why you travel the troublesome paths you continually veer towards...
I wanted to somehow supernaturally internalize you and your pain...
To see what you see..
feel what you feel...

Closed my eyes very tightly...
hoping I could imagine what it must be like to be you...
To walk around this world inside your skin...

What I felt deep within my spirit is that
you are a confused and lonely person...
At times desperate and frustrated...
frequently suffering your troubles in total silence....
In dire need of a best friend...
not just another lover...

There are times when life and love can be brutal...
One can never truly control either one of them...
We might attempt to hide from them, push them far away,
lose our sensitivity towards them...
try our best to ignore them...
choose to take them for granted...
or regrettably enough...
unwittingly sometimes manage to lose them...

Life and love are a pair of rebellious twins...
they cannot be placed in a sterile box, forgotten on a shelf,
be completely understood, nor can they be successfully manipulated by average mind or genius......

On the other hand...
both love and life are brilliant grace givers...
Each day as you are awakened by the first morning's
light streaming across your sleepy eyes...
You are gifted with a brand new start...
another beautiful day...
another chance to make the right decisions,
forgive a friend who wronged or betrayed you...
help heal a child's broken heart...

You can chose to do the right thing...
say the right words...
think the right thoughts...
sing a joyful new song...
positively impact those whose live's you touch daily...

You might write an exciting chapter in your own biography...
Just think of the possiblities...
another chance at fruitful living...
agape loving...
opportunities to grow in wisdom..

A another day to learn the art of selfless giving...
A lesson in soul listening...
meaning to really hear what others have to say
or mostly importantly what people fearfully don't say say....
"Soul listening"...means the ability to hear the music being played within another's heart...
The only requirement is a tender and compassionate spirit...

If we really understood the true miracle of life and love...
everything else would pale in comparison...

I for one...choose from this day forward
to live each day to it's fullest....
with passion and purpose.
I will aspire to love others with a tender heart...
Never looking back or foolishly counting the consequences...

My deepest wish for you my wonderful friend...
is this same realization...
Live with purpose...
live each day with renewed strength and gusto...
love with wild and childlike abandonment...
Openly receive every gift that life and love have to offer you...
Never once forget to give them something back...

Even when we are far apart...
if for whatever reason....
communication between us might be non existent

frequently thinking about and praying for your success.

Relationships like buildings are only as good as their foundations...
