It has been measured anually since 1979 and is decreasing on an average of 9% a year. In 1994, nearly all the ozone around the Antarctic between altitudes of 8 and 11 miles have disappeared. Evidence form satelites today indicate that the ozone layer is thinning across the world.
The more we understand the ozone layer, the more we will be able to prevent further damage to the ozone layer, the atmosphere, and our Earth.
