Ozone destruction is not visible to the human eye, it can only be seen through satelites. The depletion of the ozone layer is mainly caused by chlorfluorocarbons (CFCs) - artificial chemicals in the atmosphere. CFCs are broked down by sunlight, instigating them to release chlorine atoms. These chlorine atoms attack the ozone molecules. From one chlorine atom, approximately one hundred thousand ozone molecules can be destroyed!
