| The name ozone is derived from a Greek word meaning "to smell". It is a simple molecule containing 3 atoms of ozygen (O3) bound together. The ozone layer is the region of the atmosphere between 7 to 30 miles above sea level. The bluish-coloured gas is located in the stratosphere. Approximately a millionth of the stratosphere is the gas ozone. From contributes of air pollution, it can also be formed in the lower atmosphere. If this occurs, it can be very dangerous to us, especially if it is of high concentration. |
