Parris Wright
This indenture made and entered into the 12th day of February one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight between John Wright Senior of the county of Wise and state of Virginia, a party of the first part and Parris Wright of the county of Wise and state of Virginia, a party of the second part. Witnessed that the said John Wright Senior for and in consideration of the sum of Sixty dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hast this day alien, bargained, sold, and conveyed and do by these presents alien, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Parris Wright a certain boundary of land lying situate and being in the county of Wise and the state of Virginia on the waters of Russell Creek. And bounded as follows; Beginning at R P Dickinson's line on the west corner a maple and two chestnuts, thence running Norwest to a little spring corner, thence running west to three white oaks on the top of stone coal ridge, thence running to Dickinson's line to a ? and beech on the middle fork of Russell's Creek, thence running with Dickinson's line to the beginning. Supposed to be Forty acres more or less, to have and to hold to the above named Parris Wright the above-described tract of land as ? to his heirs, executors, forever, together with all and singular the appurtenances and the said John Wright.

Wise County to wit; I, James Holbrook a justice of the peace for the County aforesaid in the state of Virginia do certify that John Wright whose name is signed to the writing above bearing the date on the 12th day of February one thousand eight hundred and fifty eight, has acknowledged the same before me in my county aforesaid, Given under my hand this 17th day of February 1858.

Wise County to wit; We James Holbrook and James Buchanan, justices of the peace for the County of Wise certify that the wife of John Wright Senior, whose names are signed in this writing above bearing the date on the 12th day of February 1858 personally appeared before us in the county aforesaid, same being examined by us privately and apart from her husband and having the writing aforesaid fully explained to her, she said of acknowledged the said writing to be her act and declared that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it. Given under our hands this 17th day of February 1858.
