This deed made this 2nd day of July 1886 between Parris Wright and Wife of the first part and Mary Jane Wright of the second part both parties of Wise County and state of Virginia. Witness for and in consideration of one hundred and seventy six dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said part of the first part doth sell and convey to the party of the second part a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Wise County and state of Va on the waters of Russell Creek and bounded as follows to wit; Commencing at a corner to Holly Murphy line and with a line to Aron Nash heirs line and with his line to A C Collins line and with his line to Mrs. Sarah Bush line and to P A Wright line then with his line back to the beginning corner. The party of the first part warrant and defend the farm hereby sold forever. Witness the following signature and seal this 2nd day of July 1886.

I W A Carrico a notary Publick for the county and state aforesaid do certify that the wife of Parris Wright whose names are signed to the writing above on hereto annexed barring date on the 2nd day of July 1886 personally appeared before me in the county aforesaid and being examined by me privately and apart from her husband and having the writing fully explained to her she the said Polly Wright acknowledged the said writing to be her act and declared that she had willingly executed the same and does not wish to retract it. Given under my hand this 2nd day of July 1886.

The forgoing deed of bargain and sale from Parris Wright and Polly Wright his wife to Mary Wright bearing the date on the 2nd day of July 1886 was received into my said office together with the certificate of acknowledgment and relinquishment dower thereon endowed whereas on the same is admitted to record.
