"On the application of Simpson Dyer and others for a new road in this county from James Mullins on Holly Creek to the Sand Lick road above William Grizzles for the convenience of traveling to the courthouse, John Beckley to whom said application was referred this day made his report, on consideration whereof , said road is established as located by said commissioner: and is ordered that David Mullins be appointed Surveyor of said road from John Mullins to where James G. That William Taylor be appointed Surveyor from James D. Hale's to the Baptist meeting house , and that he open said road with the following tithables:

Hale, Nathaniel McKinney, Wilson McKinney, Joseph Cantril, William Hill, Swinfield Hill,Sr. Swinfield Hill Jr., Samuel Rose, John Rose, James Hale Jr. James Smith, William Green, John Green,William Hay, William H. Hale, James M. Hale.

That Simpson Dyer be appointed Surveyor of said road from James G. Hale's to John Ervins Mill, and that he open the same with the following tithables:
George Smith, David Smith, John Yates, William I. Yates, Jacob Blair, Senior,Jacob Blair Jr.,David Blair, George Blair ,Elias Green, George McClanahan, James McClanahan, Benjamin McClanahan, Henry Neece, Charles Turner,James Turner, William L. Counts, William Blair, Jacob Blair, Jacob Chaney, Preston Chaney, John Ervin, Micajah Erwin, Erasmus Mitchell, Alexander Mitchell, Elisha Mitchell, Alexander Counts, Elijah Counts.

That the said William Taylor and Simpson Dyer with the tithables aforesaid assigned to them, so open said road from John Ervin's mill to the top of Sandy Ridge.
"That James Kiser be appointed surveyor of said road from the top of Sandy Ridge to the fork above William Grizzles, and that Joseph Kelly,gent., do furnish him a list of sufficient number of tithables to open said road. Each of the foregoing precincts is to be opened 6 feet and dug and leveled 4 feet. "    January 4, 1853

Note:John Ervins Mill was at Trammel near the mouth of Trammel Creek where it joins the McClure  River.
