Good news!
I hope you'll forgive the many exclamation marks in this paragraph, but I wanted to share with y'all that, after much prayer and study, Vero finally gave her life to Christ! That's right! She has been studying with us, bringing her family (including parents, husband, kids, siblings, nieces and nephews) to services, and working with us for the past 2 years (and even before we got here) and finally she decided that she wanted to become a child of God! Amen! Thank you all for your continued prayers! What a blessing! Click on the pictures below for larger versions.
I guess that's one of the reasons I failed to write to you. We felt it was coming so soon and I wanted to wait for the good news. Her husband Pedro has told us that he is intent on being baptized as well, but wants to make sure what he's doing before he decides. Amen!
Also, last time I told you that we would be moving out of the house. By the grace of God we have a new place, and it's in a much better location! Below are some pictures of us in our new location.
We are getting geared up for camp at Pine Springs. Several new kids will get to go on this trip. Pray for a safe trip and a great learning experience. We will also begin looking at VBS soon. All of these things are ways we can reach out not only to the kids of the area, but also to their parents. We need your prayers in every effort.
Prayer Concerns
Vero's husband, Pedro - he will be facing court dates soon and he is also considering his decision to follow Christ
Diana - Pedro's niece - she is currently living with them and is struggling through many problems in her life
Uriel and Sofi - Vero's nephew and new wife - very young couple with LOTS of baggage and a baby on the way
Sylvia - we still have been unable to get a study going at her house, but we are hopeful!
Wednesday nights - We have begun a Wednesday night study at the building. Please pray for it's success.
Rosy and Tacho - an older couple (very faithful) who have been sick lately
It is such a blessing to know that we have your support and your thoughts. We love and miss you all very much! God bless you!
In Christian love,
Lonnie Tapscott and Family
