Greetings in Christ to all my brothers in the Lord! I pray that all things continue to go well for my family at Parkway. Please keep me informed of the progress you are making in the neighborhood. What a great field is there!

Speaking of great fields, they are ripe here at Montana Vista! We just baptized the first man of the congregation! His name is Ramiro, and here is a picture of him:

Praise God! We pray that we will be able to disciple him and teach him how to be a great servant for the Lord, that one day he may even become an elder at Montana Vista. Please pray that we will all have wisdom as we strive to be examples of Christ to this community.

Things will soon be changing slightly, as Paul and Gloria will be moving out of the house they were renting into another house. This will cause us to begin meeting in the home of Kevin and Alicia (who are renting a house in the same neighborhood). Hopefully this transition will go smoothly. Also, we will be having the yearly Medical Campaign October 9, 10, and 11. We pray this will bring relief to many people in Juárez, and that God will be glorified for his mercy and blessings on people here who are able to donate time, talent, and money to those in need.

I was asked to teach at a youth lock-in about the middle of December for the Nazarene church (a family from this denomination has been coming to our services for quite some time). Please pray that my words will cause them to better understand the truth of the gospel. There were not only quite a few teens there from different congregations in El Paso and Juárez, but there were many adults there as well. Perhaps something I said will cause them to search the scriptures more deeply and compare it to their doctrines. May we all continue to do this daily and strive to be like the church God calls us to be from scripture!

Romie is continuing to do an excellent job with the ladies' Bible class, and it sounds as if they are getting a good group each week. Her and Alicia have been taking turns teaching, and I think the ladies of the area are getting used to their presence and learning to trust them.

Please continue praying for Mayela and her difficult circumstances (see my previous newsletters). We can only trust that God will use the difficulties in her life to bring glory to himself.

We have an awesome God, and what a wonderful hope in our eternal salvation! May we continue looking forward to that day that we will be together forever! Let us keep our focus on heavenly things (Colossians 3:1-4) and look to the prize awaiting us there (Philippians 3:12-14). Thank you, Jesus for this gift!
