Misión Montana Vista
Tapscott Family Newsletter, March-April 2004

We have been blessed by a large number of clothing items brought down to us from Lubbock already, and what a message it brings to those who are in need!

I love the name "Jehovah Jireh" - The Lord Provides. What a great name for a great God. This has been one of the fundamental lessons we have been teaching the people at Montana Vista - to trust in the Lord because he provides! Lately we have a seen Satan using desparate attempts to try and drag people away from the message of salvation from God, but so far they have kept their focus on our Lord and Savior. Amen! Please continue to pray for the families here as the struggle with issues such as family strife, illness, and monetary problems. We know God will provide if we simply trust in him!

Romie and I have had to do the same during this time of transition. Our lease is up in a month-and-a-half, and we are still needing to complete some processes through the city in order to receive an interest-free loan. It would seem at the present time as if we will be moving to the church house when our lease is up until we can get things in order. Honestly, it will probably be somewhat uncomfortable because the house is not particularly well insulated. However, we trust that God will use it for his glory, allowing us the opportunity to get to know the community a bit better and minister to their needs.

Spring break came and went rather quickly, and it was so refreshing to head up to the mountains and take in some fresh air, sites, and sounds. It was also good to visit with Lemuel, Lisa, and Michael Arroyo, although they may not have enjoyed us as much after being in the woods without showers for a few days! I pray that God will continue to work with the Parkway Drive congregation to spread his message of peace and salvation to a desparately needy world. God bless your efforts!

Prayer and Plans
We have several people that we ask you to continue praying for:

  1. Mayela Armendáriz and kids
  2. Vero Armendáriz and her husband
  3. Sylvia and family
  4. Susy and family
  5. Chayo, Mario and family
  6. Amelia and family
  7. Vero's sister Nora will be having back surgery soon. Please pray for her health and God's glory during this time
We will be sending the kids age 9-12 to Pine Springs summer camp soon. Please pray for a safe trip and a deeper understanding of God's word for them. We are also planning on setting up a day to distribute the clothing we have received from Lubbock, along with the clothing and hygiene products which Parkway will be donating soon. We can't wait to share God's abundance to his saints with those who do not have the same blessings.

Unless the LORD builds the house,
  its builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city,
the watchmen stand guard in vain.
—Psalm 127:1

May the Lord bless you all
