What is Multiple Goal Interaction? In the simplest terms, chance. Chance is terminology used to express likelyhood. Whether it is an unbelieveable result, or the "odds" of something happening, chance is a term widely used in all languages. MGI, or chance, is purely a reacional effect. A goal is a causal effect. Chance is the end result, if you will, of many goals working with, against, tward, away, intertwined, and seperate from each other. If any of these goals were to change mid-stream, the end result will also tend to change. Let me give you an example: A house fire breaks out in the city. Three are killed, and many pets also die. Fire was started by toaster. Let's look at why this all happened, or what the "chances" are that this would happen. 1) The owner of the house lived in the city to be close to work. 2) The dwellers had children, so they purchased some pets. 3)The children were playing with the pets, (in this case cats), in the kitchen, because the front room was getting carpeted. 4)The front room was getting carpeted because the dwellers like the looks of new carpet. 5)An adult left a glass of water on the counter, near the toaster, because he was thirsty, and was also cooking near by. 6)One of the cats jumped up onto the counter, because it wanted to get away from a rough child, and in the process, knocked over the glass of water, spilling it onto the toaster. 7)The toaster caught on fire because the company that manufactured it tried to save a little money, and opted not to add a safety feature to prevent such fires from happening. 8) The fire spread easily, because the dwellers had wallpaper on the walls, because they like the looks of it. 9)A child ran out of the house to the neighbor's to call the fire dept., because he was told to do so. 10)The dwellers all ran out of the house, because they didn't want to die. 11) An adult went back into the house, because she wanted to save her cats. 12)Two firefighters went into the house, because they wanted to save the human. 13)The house was all wood, because the architect designed it that way. 14)The wood house, engulfed in flames, fell apon the humans inside, killing all three, and many pets.
Now we could go much deeper in this scenerio, and find out each and every goal at work here, but i think you get the point. There were many goals at work, each with their own purpose. They were working not only away, but with, towards, intertwining, and seperate. It is when they act like this that "chance" is at it's highest form. (This is also true in the casinos.)
When you get many goals working towards a common result, it can be known as a miracle. Disaster is when there are many goals working against each other. All else in between has no definate direction, and no definate end result. So you see, any time you have more than one goal at work at the same time, or in the same vicinity, you "chance" coming across Multiple Goal Interaction. Blessed Be |
