This is me crossing the Alps. Yes, those Alps. They are a not small group of mountains between Italy and Switzerland and anyone who thinks they are Hard Core should bike over them and then tell me about it. I also am aware that I look like a dork with the bandana obscuring my vision, but my head was cold and I suspect I was delirious. There is pretty funny story about the bandana known only to the young lady cycling with me at the time. She shall remain nameless for her sake and the story shall remain private for mine!
It's only when I put these photos side by side like this that I become aware how nearly identical they are. Oh well. This is my in Wales on my way to Hollyhead to catch the ferry to Ireland. The sea is literally right over the hill behind me and it was incredibly windy. At this point I was travelling alone and I stopped a gentleman walking his dog to take my photo. He asked about my trip and when he found where I'd been to that point (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, France, England), he decided I was crazy. This is good, because nobody will steal a camera from a crazy person on a bike.

Photo by *NAME WITHHELD* Yeah, name withheld, but here is her address, phone number and credit card information: Oh like I'm going to put that. Photo by Doreen.
This is me demonstrating my versatility. My girlfriend and I trailered horses to Hummingbird trail area near Rocky Mountain House and went horse camping for 5 days. It's hard to get the horses in the tent, but eventually they get used to it. But they snore.
Photos by Derek again, me after the 1996 Mudpuppy. I sucked hard, and fell in the dirt too, but why else do you bike? The profile shot again shows the big schnozz.
