The Trenchcoat Man
In the old house I used to live in me and other family members experienced strange unexplained events.  One in particular was of a man dressed in a Trenchcoat and a Fedora type Hat that I would see from time to time in my home.  I named him "The Tranchcoat Man."
I recall an experience I had with him when I was about 9.  I was laying in my bed at night just laying there, not sleeping.  Did you ever have that feeling that someone is in the room eventhough you have your eyes closed or are facing away from the doorway or something?  Well I had this feeling so I rolled over to look into the rest of my room.  In the doorway was a coated man wearing a hat.  He was looking at me but the lighting was too dark to see his face.  All he did was stare.  He showed no emotion...he just stared.  After a short while he turned away and walked down the hallway to the stairs where he was no longer visible to me but I could hear disembodied footsteps and creaks working their way down the stairs.
Another occurance happened when I walked out of the upstairs bathroom.  As I left the bathroom I looked down the stairs and saw the coated man at the foot of the steps looking up at me.  I ran into my bedroom and hid until I felt it was safe.
I had my last sighting of the Trenchcoat Man when I was about 14.  Once again I was laying down in my room.  I could faintly hear the sound from the show my brother was watching downstairs.  Like before, I had the feeling that someone else was in the room with me.  I rolled over and in the corner of my room stood the Trenchcoat Man watching me once again.  Frozen with fear all I could do was stare back at him.  He then turned and walked towards the doorway but slowly vanished as he did so until he was gone.
After that I never saw him again but every so often I would hear disembodied footsteps on the stairs and get the same feeling of not being alone in my room.  I knew it was The Man in the Trenchcoat.
