Angel A Holy entity or Messenger of God sent to Earth to help the living. Usually takes a human form sometimes with a glowing
Apparition The Manifestation of a Non Physical being or spirit
Astral Projection When a person has an out of body experience, sometimes brought on by extreme shock or trauma.  The person's spirit leaves the body and is free to roam around consciously.  The person is not dead but sometimes, if the spirit is visible to other people, it is mistaken for a ghost.
Aura Life force/energy given off by all living things and followed in death
Banshee A female spirit in Irish and Scottish folklore whose wail is said to foretell a death in a house
Daemon (Daimon) Guardian Spirits.  Communicates inspiration and advice to the living
Doppelganger German for "Double Goer."  A Doppelganger is an exact but ghostly double of a living person
Demon A malicious force or entity believed to be of non Human origins. Some believe them to be Fallen Angels
Elementals Spirits which inhabit the four corners of the Earth and inhabit the elements
There are 4:
Sylphs: East, Air
Salamanders: South, Fire
Undines: West, Water
Gnomes: North, Earth
Entity A conscious, self realizing disembodied force.  Referred to as Ghosts, Spirits or Demons
Ghost A free roaming form of a person who is no longer living.  Seeming to exist on another plane of reality they are often not aware they have passed or of the living beings around them
Lepke A spirit that takes a solid form.  This ghost may look and act like a living person.  Some have been known to carry on conversations with the living and suddenly disappear
Poltergeist German for "Noisy Ghost" they are very active spirits.  Usually the cause of moving objects and disembodied sounds.  Always surrounding a person, usually a child or adolescent
Radiant Child A child apparition surrounded by a bright aura
Regents 4 Chief Spirits talked of in European tales:
Oriens of the East      Amemon of the South
Boul of the West        Eltcen of the North   
Revenant An entity appearing to be distressed or misplaced
Shade A spirit resembling a once living person or animal
Shadow Spirits Unexplainable shadows either in a photo or seen moving across a wall out of the corner of your eye or in a mirror
Silky A female ghost wearing a silk dress.  Is known to perform household tasks for the residents after they have went to bed
Spirit A Non Physical existence, a living creature's life force.  Most commonly referred to as a ghost
Spunkies Sad unnamed child spirits.  Gaelic tales tell of these ghosts wandering country roads in search of someone to name them
Tash/Thevish Irish term used for an animal or human spirit
Zarcanor An angry spirit that attacks people while they sleep sometimes causing nightmares and even physical damage like scratches or bruises
Zephyr A spirit born of the wind
