Medium A person believed to be an intermediary between the living and spirits
Oracle A seer/psychic of great power.  Uses objects like a Crystal Ball
Oui-ja Board A smooth board inscribed with letters, numbers and symbols.  Participants place their fingers on the "Plancette" and asks questions of the spirit world.  The Plancette is intended to move along the board pointing to various symbols to answer the question.  Now a days the Oui-ja Board is used as a game but it is a Very serious contacting tool.  Many risks are involved with using the board and contacting the spirit world.  Uninvited or violent spirits may cross over.  NOT RECOMMENDED

Seance A group effort to contact the spirit world.  Usually lead by a "Medium" using incantations and spiritual objects.  THIS IS A DANGEROUS PRACTICE, NOT SUGGESTED UNLESS WITH A TRAINED PROFESSIONAL
Spirit Circle Formation used during a seance.  Involved people hold hands forming a circle around some sort of spiritual object (Candle, Crystal Ball) or an object owned by the person trying to be contacted or a picture of said person.  Energy is borrowed from everyone involved making an unbroken current through the connected hands.  This energy is necessary to contact and contain the spirit.  They chant incantations at the same time to call forth a spirit.
