| So wat's yer name, kid? | ::The lean young man streches lazily on his bed, though the motion is slightly awkward, considering the fact that the bed is just a tad too short for him, leaving his ankles are dangling off the edge of it. He glances up sleepily, then runs his hands through his sleep dishevled hair.:: Christopher Karney, though I reckon it'll be better if ya'll called me Kit, instead. ::He speaks in low tones, as if divulging a secret, mustering every bit of Southern charm he can into his sentence almost indolently. The corners of his mouth tug as he smiles faintly, looking at you through half-lidded eyes that are surprisingly open and friendly for all its carelessness.:: |
| You got a nick-name or was 'dat it? | ::yawns thoroughly, using his hands to turn his head, making his neck make satisfying cracking sounds:: Jus' Kit. I ain't never been sure if a shortened name is the same thing as a nickname. What do ya reckon? |
| Where you from, anyways? | ::grins, looking (slightly) more awake:: Ya mean what the hell's a Southern boy like me doin' here? ::shrugs shoulders that are a bit too bony to look good on a nineteen year old, and look more befitting for an adolescent boy.:: Guess I jus' wanted tah try mah luck somewhere up North. |
| Whadd'a yah look like? | ::chuckles good-naturedly:: Plain as the rocks under mah shoes, I'm afraid. ::It's true that he isn't anything to gawk about, being rather plain and blunt-featured - but he has a charming smile, and his amber brown eyes are usually lit with good humor. Unremarkable brown hair the color of fresh mud curls over the collar of his threadbare shirt at the back, and brushes slightly past the bridge of his nose at the front, falling in unruly waves. His frame is lean and rangy, with long lanky limbs that aid him in his tall stature, and he somehow manages to look languid instead of awkward with all his 6'5" of height.:: |
| Got any 'ahhh, distin'guishin charact'ahristics? | ::shakes his head:: Nope, jus' plain ol' Kit Karney. ::Kit can be the easiest person in the world to get along with, because he's naturally charismatic, but lacks the initiative to really do anything with it besides charm a few pretty girls. He doesn't have much of a temper, and his minor spats normally are resolved in a few days, but if something big happens, he'll almost always hold a grudge. He tends to stick to his first impression of people, whether good or bad, and it takes a lot for him to change his mind, though if he's been thoroughly proved wrong, he accepts it without being grudging. Of course, it takes a lot to convince him that he's wrong.:: |
| If you emptied out yah pockets on dis' table right now, watwould fall out? | Couple dimes, I s'ppose. ::digs his hands in his pockets and pulls out two dimes, a piece of lint and a slightly dirty blue linen handkerchief:: |
| How'd you find 'da place? | ::laughs:: Well, I wasn't lookin' for it. Jus' so happens that ya'll got a big sign out there that says ya lodge people. |
| You drink, smoke, gamble... | ::smiles:: When it suits me. ::He isn't addicted to any of the three, but enjoys them every so often.:: |
| Related tah any'badywe'd know? | ::rubs the back of his neck sheepishly and offers a smile:: Gawd, I hope not. ::makes a face:: Sarry, I ain't much fond of mah relations, if ya know what I mean. |
| Who's yah best friend? | ::shrugs:: Ain't got one, I don't think. ::smiles:: New in town, an' all. |
| Got any woyds tah live by? | Don't be an ass. ::grins:: Especially not tah a gal with six oldah brothers. ::ruffles his hair until it falls over his face, obscuring his eyes, but not his sheepish smile:: That ain't fun to learn the hard way. |
