Reflection

I am continually growing as a professional especially in the area of technology.  I just recently completed a three day training on technology in the classroom.  The idea was to assist teachers in using the materials provided and incorporation technology to meet standards.  I learned a lot about technology and resources that would be beneficial in the classroom.  I am excited to use the information received to make exciting lessons for my students.  I am all Tech Links coordinator at my school.  I am in charge of attending monthly meetings.  My main job is to make sure teachers take yearly surveys on the use of technology.  Teachers do not like taking these surveys but they are needed so that Riverside can continue to see what teachers need.

The last two years I have kept up a website for my students and their parents.  The goal of the site was to communicate homework and important dates with parents and students.  I would have students who were absent and they would come to school with most of their homework completed.  Parents could also email me from the site which a lot of them chose to do.  This was helpful because it is always faster to communicate through email.  Throughout the year a lot of phone calls did not have to made due to this website.  It made my life easier and the parents also!
