Reflection

    It is important as a professional to continue to learn new things especially in the area of technology.  The use of technology is continuing to grow in classrooms.  It is up to me as a professional to stay update on what is happening with technology.  The first artifact, One-to-One Tsunami is a research article about laptops.  The program emphasizes that each student have a laptop which would encourage them to learn.  The second, New Technologies, was an article I read about the use of handheld devices.  The article made me realize how much technology is out there and what students could do with it.  The last artifact, Share with Colleagues, is a discussion that I posted on a discussion board.  The topic focused on the use of technology and multimedia in the classroom.  The main concern I had was access because not all teachers have access to technology and those that do, do not necessarily use it.  The idea was to help teachers and let them know what was out there.  There are so many websites that teachers can visit and download multimedia to use in the classroom. 

    With the information I have gained in the use of technology, it is up to me to help inform teachers of the technology that is out there and how it can be used.  I must also continue to develop my knowledge in the area of technology and stay on top of trends.
