Hello and
Welcome to my Website I would like to tell you a bit about
myself.
I was born in New
Zealand. . I'm a third generation Breeder / Exhibitor , my
Grandfather had Golden Retrievers and my Father had Cocker
Spaniels.
As an eighteen year old
student in England I saw my first Basset Hound and knew that
one day I would own one of these sad-eyed long eared hounds.
My first two were obtained whilst living in the USA ,
 I
entered a dog show and little did I know that from then
till today Basset Hounds would play such a large part in my
life.
On Returning to NZ I
registered my Prefix , Longfellow in 1968 and we are proud
of the achievements of this kennel with well over 90
Champions numerous dogs with NZ / Aust Champion status and
Grand Champion titles.
We have an enviable
record of Best in Show at Basset Hound Specialties in both
New Zealand and Australia and Multi Best in Show at all
breeds level.
We have also bred Clumber
Spaniels from 1978 / 1986 and Whippets from 1985 / 2000 . We
moved to Brisbane Australia in 1999 bring some of our stock
with us WE live in a semi rural area on 3 acres with the
Hounds and one very spoilt Oriental cat ...........We have
now added Petit Basset Griffon Vendeens to the family and
this delightful breed has totally captivated us.

I began Judging in 1971
and obtained my all breeds license in 1990. I have had the
privilege of adjudicating in many Countries around the
world including Scandinavia , Europe ,USA and the UK all at
Championship Level.
