Here are five
examples of longbows that were handcrafted by either Russ or myself.
From top to bottom: painted back; sinew wrapped, natural wood, rattlesnake
backing and deer hide backing.
These are
just a few types of backing:

Above is a rattlesnake skin ready to use for backing.
Here I am carving a longbow.
I
also made the shaving benches that Russ and I use.
Without one of these units it would be extremely difficult to carve a
longbow.
