My Master
My Master he feels such great need
For the heart and mind to beat in harmony
To escape to drift into a calm silence
No other emotions dare to trespass
Bitter sweet feelings and memories
Shall taste like insipid water upon reefs
Like pockets of smoke from soft ember
Fading away to nothingness yonder
All is quiet in this realm of peace
The mind seeks and shall not miss
The heart surrenders all hurt all happiness
Thus a melodious beat of slow repose
Such is the inner peace I seek
Surpassing and revitalizing mind's peak
Even in thunderstorms leaves rustle by
Clipped wings of temptation cease to fly
My Master has found this inner peace
He says to "Love all equal love all the same"
For passion that overwhelms the soul
Shall breed love that hurts in time.
