| Once again a year has gone by and all major awards shows are now out of the way finishing up with the 76th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday. Billy Crystal hosted once again with hallarious comentary between awards. In my opinion, one of the best parts of the night was when Keisha Castle-Hughes met Johnny Depp before the show started. CLASSIC. Charlize Theron won for best actress and Sean Pean for best actor. Best picture was The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (my favorite). It was a hectic year but this year's awards were deffinatly my favorite so far. |

| In an astounding record breaking night, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King won everything it was nomminated for at Sunday's Academy Awards. This amount tied for most awards won by a single movie with Titanic and Ben Hur. It has also hit the billion dollar marker in ticket sales. Titanic was the only other movie to do so. If The Return of the King bags in even more money than Titanic does, it will become the most successful movie of all time. Also, there has never been a Best Picture win for a fantasy film until Sunday night. History was made and once again it was a fine year at the Academy Awards. |
