| Norma Jean was the female singer on the Porter Wagoner Show, syndicated right across the USA for eight years before Dolly Parton took over in 1967. The show was so popular it only ceased production in the early 1980s, having run for over 25 years. Porter continues his hectic work schedule today as a regular host on the Grand Ole Opry's live weekend performances. Ever the showman, he still wears his flashy Nudie-inspired suits. (I would hope the original ones were in a museum somewhere!) |

| This album was recorded by Norma Jean and the Wagon Masters (Porter's backing band) as a birthday surprise for Porter. He was apparently very surprised and genuinely moved by the gesture. It contains many fine tracks previously made popular by Porter including the excellent "I Just Came to Smell the Flowers", "What Would You Do?" and "Eat Drink and Be Merry" to name just a few classic tracks. |

| It's amazing that Norma Jean and the boys managed to secretly record this masterpiece with the constant work required for them to keep up with Porter's TV commitments and touring. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
