| CUBA (05/08/2000-10/08/2000) Het is een prachtig land maar tevens ook een zeer duur land. Het is niet aan te raden om er naartoe te gaan voor een paar dagen zonder voorbereiding. Naar mijn mening is de beste manier om er via een all-in-ticket te gaan of voor een paar maanden zodanig dat je er kunt trekken en zoeken naar de goedkopere steden maar al bij al blijft het er duur. Je geraakt niet binnen als je geen verblijfsadres hebt. Je kunt dan wel een hotel boeken aand de luchthaven voor een goedkopere prijs dan in het hotel zelf, maar als je slechts enkele dagen blijft, boek voor al de dagen. Ik betaalde 35USD voor 1 nacht in Hotel CAPRI, en ontdekte achteraf dat de volgende nacht mij 68USD ging kosten. Een andere mogelijkheid is particuliere woningen die je aan 15USD/nacht kunt vinden in de downtown, maar ik betaalde 30USD/nacht in een betere buurt. Ik had slechts 5 dagen en verbleef enkel in hoofdstad. Beautiful country but very expensive. I do not suggest to go there unprepared and for a couple of days. The best 2 ways to visit Cuba is for a couple of months at least, travelling around our with a package from Mexico our your country, but it will still be expensive. They do not let you in when you have no proof of accomodation but you can book a hotel from the airport which is cheaper (35USD) then to buy it in the hotel(68USD). An other possibility is to find yourself a family to stay with which are cheap in downtown(15USD) but in the nicer area you will pay about 30USD.
