| BOLIVIA Na Ecuador(en waarschijnlijk in de toekomst:...samen met Ecuador), het goedkoopste land in Zuid-Amerika. Een bus nemen van de ene stad naar de andere is goedkoop en een avontuur op zich. After Ecuador(and probably in the future:...together with Ecuador), the cheapest country in South-Amerika. Taking a bus there from one city to the other is cheap and a great adventure. UYUNI (24/04/2000-25/04/2000) Een vrij saai industriestadje waar niet veel te beleven valt. Van hieruit kun je ook een tour door de Salar maken naar Chili, of een retour dat 1 dag langer duurt en waar je iets meer ziet. A pretty boring industrial town where there is nothing to do. From here you can also do the tour to Chili or a return that will take you one day longer and you will see a little more. ACCOMODATIE ACCOMODATION Hostal Marith Av. Potosi 61 casi esquina(hoek-corner) Ayacucho - uyuni POTOS� (25/04/2000-27/04/2000) De stad is al iets mooier om te bezoeken maar na een dag of 2 heb je het ook gezien. Het hoogtepunt zijn de ZILVERMIJNEN(5USD), maar ik vond dit persoonlijk een irrealistisch toeristenattractie. This town is a little nicer to visit but after a day or two you have seen it. The highline is the tour to the SILVERMINES(5USD), but personally I saw it as an irrealistic tourist-attraction. SUCRE (27/04/2000-28/04/2000) Een zeer aangenaam stadje om er rond te lopen met een heel mooie plaza waar je uren kunt zitten waarnemen; wel is het irretant dat je constant wordt lastig gevallen door verkopers en bedelaars, om maar te zwijgen van de schoenpoetsers. Je vind er een paar goede & goedkope hostals aan de terminal wat het gemakkelijk maakt om het half uurtje wandelen naar het centrum zonder bagage te doen (en het spaart u een taxi uit!). A very nice town to walk around with a beautiful plaza where you can sit for hours watching life pass by but it is a pity that you are hassled all the time by beggers, salesmen and especially shoecleaners. You will find sme cheap accomodation in front of the terminal which makes it easier to do the half hour walk to the centre without your luggage (and you do not have to take a taxi!) | SANTA CRUZ (29/04/2000-05/05/2000) Zou de culturele hoofdstad moeten zijn en volgens veel Bolivianen veel mooier dan de hoofdstad, maar La Paz is veel interessanter. De zoo bevat enkel Zuidamerikaanse fauna maar het is er slecht onderhouden en sommige dieren zien er echt zielig uit. Should be the cultural capital and more beautiful then the capital according to most of the Bolivians, but I don't think so. The zoo hve only Southamerican fauna but most of the animals are looking miserable. ACCOMODATIE : ACCOMODATION : Residencial Ballivan - 5USD (zie boek) (Lonely Planet) Om van Bolivia naar Brasil te gaan is het goedkoper langs Santa Cruz. If you are planning to go to Brasil from Bolivia, it is cheaper through Santa Cruz. Om via PARAGUAY naar Brazilie te trekken ga je 65USD betalen voor de bus van VILLAMONTES(Bolivia) naar Asuncion(Paraguay)! If you want to go to Brasil through PARAGUAY, you will pay 65USD for the bus from VILLAMONTES(Bol.) to Asuncion(Par.)! LA PAZ (12/02/2000-14/02/2000) Deze hoofdstad is ��n van de betere. Een bezoek aan de GEVANGENIS zou de moeite waard zijn(alhoewel ik het zelf niet gedaan heb). Er is ook een kleinere versie van een VALLE DE LA LUNA wat u allen de bustrip kost. Het is een goedkope bezigheid voor een halve dag. This capital is one of the better ones. The PRISON should be very nice (to visit) but I did not do it. There is also a smaller version of a VALLE THE LA LUNA which only cost you the bustrip; it is a cheap passtime for half a day.
