| ARGENTINA Wat mij het meest zal bijblijven wat betreft dit land is dat het er te duur is voor een budgetreiziger. Ik bezocht er enkel de hoofdstad en het einde van de wereld, maar er zijn heel veel bezienswaardigheden in heel Argentina als je graag in tenten leeft of je het geld hebt om er rond te trekken. What I will remember most of that country is that it is very expensive for a budgettraveller. I just visited the capital and the end of the world, but there is a lot to see overthere if you like living in tents and if you have the money to travel around. BUENOS AIRES (23/03/2000-29/03/2000) Een zeer grote moderne stad (ik zag het als een moderne versie van Lima) met veel mensen en veel verkeer. De enige bezienswaardigheden die ik daar bezocht waren het kleurrijke straatje LA BOCA en het kerkhof LA RECOLLETA, waar Evita Peron begraven ligt. A very large and modern city with a lot of people and a lot of traffic. The only 2 things that I visited there were the little colourful LA BOCA and the cemetary LA RECOLLETA where Evita Peron was buried. De goedkoopste ACCOMODATIE die ik vond in deze stad is : The cheapest ACCOMODATION that I found was : Hotel Colonial "Familiar" Bolivar 1357 San Telmo - Buenos Aires 10USD (7USD vanaf een week) INTERNET - INTERNET Internet Planet Local 4 Galeria Luxor Lavalle 669 Om van hier naar URUGUAY te gaan, is het beter om een boot naar Colonia te nemen, dan naar Monte Video. Het is ook goedkoper om naar Ushua�a te vliegen vanuit de hoofdstad, dan om het met de bus te doen. To go from here to URUGUAY, it is better to take a boat to Colonia instead of to the capital. It is also cheaper to fligh to Ushua�a from the capital then to go by bus. |
| USHUAIA (01/04/2000-05/04/2000) Het meest zuidelijkste stadje ter wereld, is een zeer aangenaam plaatsje met een prachtig landschap; het deed mij denken aan Zwitserland. Van de luchthaven is het 45minuten stappen naar het centrum; er zijn geen bussen, dus een ander alternatief is de taxi. De informatiekantoor in de luchthaven kan u een lijst bezorgen met alle hotels + prijzen, van de goedkoopste(7USD) tot de duurste. The most southern town of the world is a very nice place with a beautiful landscape; it reminded me of Switserland. From the airport it is a walk of 45minutes to the centre; there are no buses so the other way with a taxi. The informationoffice at the airport can give you a list with all the hotels and prices, from the most expensive to the cheapest(7USD). *Via een busje kun je naar het reservaat TIERRA DEL FUEGO(inkom:5USD) rijden. De busjes(15USD,retour) rijden regelmatig op en af, dus hoef je niet dezelfde dag weer te keren wanneer je er wilt kamperen. With a collectivo you can drive to the TIERRA DEL FUEGO national parc(entrance:5USD, bus:15USD,return). You do not have to return the same day if you would like to hike overthere. *Je kunt ook met een bootje de BEAGLEKANAAL afvaren(24USD-4uur) om zeeleeuwen en de beroemde watertoren te zien. By boat you can visit the BEAGLECANAL(24USD-4hours) to see sealions and the famous lighthouse. *Er zijn heel wat museums te bezoeken in het stadje;de GEVANGENIS(7USD) was duur voor wat er te zien viel. There are a lot of museums to visit in that little town; the PRISON(7USD) was expensive for what it was. In de informatiekantoor in de stad, kun je eenzelfde lijst met adressen + prijzen voor hotels en een plattegrond van PUNTA ARENAS(Chili) vragen als dat uw volgende destinatie zou zijn.
