Lia Cloudwalker

lia. my best friend since as far back as i can remember. the two of us were never seperated for any reason, well except for when i moved east. but even then, we still kept in touch, and she told me alot about what was going on in her life. But then, she just stopped talking to me, no more letters came out east. That was a little before i headed out there the first time, and found out that the land had been bought and that lia and her family had moved. I asked Mr. Koolwhip to give lia my number and i guess he did, cause i got phone calls and letters again, but she only talked about the wrestling now, nothing about herself or her brother, or michael. i guess she just wanted to keep that private. she did tell me about one of the guys in the organization that she was involved with. she never did give me his name, but i know that his wrestling persona was known as gretchen. I told her about mary and jason, and my mama, and everything, and she offered to help me out, but i didn't really want that, i needed to make it on my own. then, came the phone call, the one i hate recalling but can never get out of my head, and never will for as long as I live.

"Please come out here! My Sister-in-law is a traitor!"

So i headed out there. we met by the canyon, the place that we had played near when we were kids, not exactly safe, but it was fun. we sat and we talked, and talked, and talked, eventually she got up and left. she was still obviously upset, but there was nothing else that i could do to help her. She got into her jeep and drove off. it wasn't until later that night that i heard what had happened. my best friend was dead. she missed the turn and her jeep went flying off of the cliff, smashing into a sardine can. there was no way that she could have survived. i loved lia couldwalker, she was the closest thing i had to a sister while growing up in the west. and her memory will haunt me forever. it was for her, as well as michael, but mainly for her that i started wrestling, and it is for her memory that i will not stop.
