The Ghostmen were completing a daytime survey of Ridgemount Cemetery on Thompson Road in Fort Erie. Some members of the group were videotaping in and around the cemetery grounds and others were walking around gathering more information on the history of the cemetery. I was one of the members that was walking in the far right corner of the cemetery (the older part of the cemetery).
During my survey, I came across a small little bird that was sitting very calmly facing towards a tombstone. At first, I did not think nothing of it. As soon as I came closer to the bird, I realized that the bird would not move. It would only look towards the tombstone, or shift its head towards me to see why I am here.

I realized then that this bird is either injured, or a special bird (myth has it that birds are soul carriers). I then left to go get Chris to come videotape the mysterious bird. When I returned with Chris the bird was still in the same spot, looking at the tombstone that was engraved "John H...". Chris also noticed how the bird would not move for anyone. I even got to place my foot several inches from the bird. This was no ordinary bird.
After several minutes with the bird, Chris and I both left to tell other members of The Ghostmen about the strange bird. I let Chris go all the way across the cemetery to tell the members while I made my way back to the bird. I was surprised to see the bird had taken flight to another part of the cemetery, therefore the bird was not injured. To this day, I still wonder what that strange bird thought when The Ghostmen paid a visit to Ridgemount Cemetery. I guess we will never know.
