This
is the second highest falls in the park and a moderate hike. You
will be parking at the Whiteoak Canyon Falls Parking Area at mile
42.6. You will find a trailhead map at the beginning and the only
word of advice for this hike is to be sure you stay on the
blue-blazed marked trail. You will find that during the first mile
you will be walking gently downhill and come upon a stream crossing.
After the stream crossing you will cross the Limberlost Trail, then
the Old Rag Fire Road and again the Limberlost trail. You will then
come to a bridge that crosses a stream and will be on your left for
about 1.3 mile. You then will cross another bridge and the canyon
and stream on your right. You will come upon a horse trail and 400
feet further will be the falls. (Note: there are several sets of
falls below and the trail will take you to the bottom, but many of
the falls are not visible from the trail. The trail is extremely
rocky and steep.) To complete this hike, retrace your steps.

This
is a very difficult hike because of its rocky and steep areas.
It is recommended for experienced hikers only. Now with that said,
you will start this hike at the Hawksbill Gap Parking Area at mile
45.6. Start at the trailhead that is located on the east side of the
Drive. Upon starting the trail, you will come across a "Y"
intersection, which you will nee to turn left on the blue blazed
trail. Again you will reach another intersection and you need to
take a right. Just stay on the blue blazed trail. You will see Cedar
Run and paralle the trail for about 1.5 mile and you will come to a
crossing. Cross on rocks and stepping stones and hike another 0.1
mile to the top of the falls. (Note: trail will proceed to the
bottom but the falls are not viewable from the bottom). To complete
this hike just retrace your steps.
