Greetings,

Welcome to my site!

I invite you to travel throughout and view what makes Poetry for me.  Enjoy!!

And I bow out,

Thy feet lilt upon this plane of silent sounds
They greet thee, they thank thee, they call out to explore

As thine eyes wouldst peer, let thy mind come forth

Thou  cometh from a distant realm
Let travels continue further, and mayhap ease thy burden with play

Well, it's back to messing around with my poetry site and looking for a half-way decent job and getting ready to run around the island again ... no really ... I'm doing the Perimeter Relay Run sponsored by the Mid-Pacific Road Runner's Club.  I sometimes convince myself that I'm a sadist ... hehe!

I didn't realize I'd gotten so far on this site.  I'm in the mood to finish it up so I can get rid of those tacky "Under Construction" tabs.  Ahh the song of poetry ... and the pain of web-building!

Time is just  one of those amazing little things ... one moment you're at home and in paradise, returning from an exotic venture in Thailand, the next you're thrown into the middle of a desert ...

The Middle East has its own sensualities ... once you get past the sexism (aggravating as that is ...) ... beyond the things often viewed as "proper" ... into the realm of the forbidden ... poetry has never been so full of vibrant life for me as now.  Alas, if I could only capture all of the emotion and paint its frustrated intensity  with the limits of vocabulary ...

As all good things must, my trip to the Middle East may be at its conclusion.  The ultimate decision is out of my hands, but in anticipation of a possible denial of my allowance to stay here, I will post a little note here ...

My experiences here, meeting the wonderful people I've come to know and love, exploring my own abilities and my personality, learning and  blossoming into more than I was a few months ago - all this and more has allowed my artistic abilities to expand significantly.  I find that for all these reasons and more, my tenure here has been well worth the stay, brief though it may ultimately become.  I am grateful for the path my choices have opened for me ...
