Intro:
It had been a few days since Viktor had seen Jason, and things were well again. He didn’t feel as though he had completely lost his sanity, he felt like it was almost all there again. None the less, his training and hard work would continue. Viktor was very eager to get into his first match, so eager, that his training almost was nonstop. He had other things that he could do, but he found the most interesting thing was to do, was to train and work. He always broke a good sweat, got the blood pumping through his veins. It was, after all, his debut. The debut would be the first sight that anyone got of you, the first sight that anyone knew who you were, and a lot of people would judge you by your first match. And Viktor was aiming to please, all most important, was himself.
\\ \\ Action. // // Today was a new day, but it was like the others that had fallen before it. Get up around the crack of dawn, get a bite to eat, and then work your ass off. That’s mostly what it had been like for the past week, working on getting in shape. Viktor had never been in bad condition, he just wasn’t exactly used to working days on in. Today would turn out to be a good day, until around noon when his father came in to see him. You see, his father had always been a good and upstanding man, while his son was an outcast. He wanted Viktor to become something famous, like perhaps a famous doctor, a plastic surgeon. Never in his dreams did he want his son to become a wrestler. It was almost barbaric. None the less, a parent was never one to agree with what their kids did. We now see Viktor standing in a warehouse, sweating. He had a towel of the same color as the previous one, wiping the sweat from his forehead, there was a knock on the door. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: ”Come in.”
\\ \\ Action. // // The door swung open, and there came Thomas Briggs, the oldest of the Briggs family, and also Viktor’s dad. The man didn’t look older than sixty, but he was in great shape for his age. He came over to his son, almost cautiously, and pushed the glasses on his face back up to the bridge of his nose. Viktor kept doing what he had when the knock interrupted, slamming his fists into a bag that was situated in the center of the room. His father cleared his throat, as Viktor then turned around. Almost a sour look on his face. \\ \\ End Action. //
Tom Briggs: ”Well? Do you have nothing to say to me, son? No hey dad, how’s it going? Or hey dad, how’s the hammer hanging? After weeks without seeing my boy, I get nothing?”
\\ \\ Action. // // Viktor now looks at his father harder this time, as the old man holds on his arms. He steps into his father’s embrace, holding him lightly in his embrace. It’s easy to see that Thomas had never been his favorite person, he had never been quite ready to admit that it was his father. But none the less, the resemblance they bore, were chilling. Viktor looked over his father’s shoulder, and there stood Jason now, arms folded along his broad chest. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Jason: “How pathetic, what scum. You don’t even like the man, and you don’t have the balls to tell him how you feel. You hug him like nothing is wrong, like a child that is ten years old and is afraid of their parents hear their voices.”
Viktor Briggs: ”Shut up.”
\\ \\ Action. // // His father let go of Viktor and gave him an odd look and shook his head. Viktor removed the gloves that he wore, and tucked them into his pockets. The walls of the gym were completely bare, except for two posts of men, each facing another. They were of good size. On one poster, read; “Tyler Denzum” and on another, read “Xavier Layne.” Both of them looked as though they were having a good time, or as Viktor had always thought. But they wouldn’t soon, were they? With that thought in mind, Viktor grinned and bore his teeth, turning to look for Jason, there was nothing at the corner. He turned back, to catch an odd glance from his father. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: ”I’m sorry. You know I have nothing against you, as at the same time, you know I have nothing for you. We’ve never been close like most fathers and sons, but nor have we been apart. I never knew you existed for the most part, and when you really don’t know what you’re missing, you really don’t miss it, now do you? You see, I have a lot on my mind and a mind has a lot on me. There is a lot going on in my life right now, I’m being challenged both mentally and physically. I have a lot on my plate right now, and sometimes I’m not sure what I’m going to do. But none the less, I know what I need to do. Win. Winning is that that matters to me right now, and nothing less. Not the fans, not the management, not any other wrestlers, and not even you. I want this match, I want it more than anything I have ever wanted in my life. This week, I have shed enough blood and sweat, for everyone around here, and I’m ready to finally see me work pay off. All my life I’ve went through life without anyone knowing my name, and I’m ready for that to end. You see, Tyler Denzum has a lot to speak about. With what little TV you even watch, I’m sure you even see enough of him. He speaks nothing, senseless. He has a very little mind, much smaller than any I have seen, I am superior to him. He speaks for hours, about mindless numbing NOTHING. Then, he tosses my name in there twice, not to mention if he even got around to mentioning Layne once, maybe even twice himself. He is caught up on himself. He has no where else to go, but to try and make himself look better. But no matter how hard he tries, he has nothing, nothing on me. I’m a better man than he is, I’m the much deserving athlete. Something that he doesn’t have, something that he’ll never know, is respect. In his life, he has never known this meaning, and nor will he ever. For you see, Tyler is a brat. He has had everything handed to him in his life. And do you know what, Tyler? No one is going to hand you this match, not even fucking God himself. You’re going to have to work more than your jaw for this one, Tyler, this one is going to take everything you’ve got, and then some. You may outsize me, any normal man can see this much, but size in this sport isn’t everything. You think that you have some sort of ace up your sleeve, somewhere, but I see nothing Denzum. You did impress me, at one time, I actually thought that you had something going. And what do you do, then? You ruin it. You pissed all over yourself, Denzum, that is what you did. You didn’t have to speak, you could have kept your mouth closed and prove to no one how much of an idiot that you truly are. But instead, you give everyone the image of what you are, and that is sorry. You have no excuse for yourself. But I will take out this promise, your ass, is mine. I’m not going to go easy on you. And if you think that maybe Layne is going to get in the way, then you are well failed. He will fail as easily as you, if not easier. For you see, even he is weak. Neither of you know the fear that you’re going to know. You don’t…even know…yet.”
\\ \\ Action. // // Viktor walks outside, ignoring his father totally. After all, he was no father, he meant nothing. Today would be a new day, a day in which Viktor finally was sure of himself. The courage that he finally needed, grew inside of him today. All it took, was a father that did nothing for him to realize what he was, and now Viktor is ready for anything, anything that the world is ready to throw at him. Viktor tosses on a black coat, nothing special, and now heads outside into the weather, as the wind is blowing hard, causing snow to swirl all over the place. Viktor walks for a good twenty minutes, until he mouths a large mound of snow, and stands over it, a lot can be seen at this angle. He does not hear the voice of Jason, but hears his voice. He needs not anyone else, for all he has is himself, and that is all everyone ever needs. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: ”I, am nothing but a man, Tyler, a man that is not afraid of his own death nor his own career. I am only here to do, what I do best, to liberate you. You know so much of nothing, it is so funny. You sit around and speak for an hour, and expect someone to hear you when nothing makes any kind of sense. You merely said the same thing over and over, but managed to change the words around, and use some more that were a little more advanced than what you are used to. You began this match with my respect, and you will finish this match with nothing. Like I said, nothing is going to be given to you, everything must be earned. I have no pity for you like I used to. I felt sorry for you, because you seemed as though you were just one of those that deserved it. But none the less, the pity is no longer here. The only thing I will pity you, is that you will be facing me. Not to mention, you will even have Xavier to worry about. I’ll admit, though, I am not a huge fan of having a triple threat match, but that does mean I don’t have to spend two meaningless weeks on nobodies, but I get to put both of you in your place during the same event, now that makes my blood tingle. Just knowing that I get to move a little bit of a faster speed than what was my original idea, does make me happy. Although there is no promise that we won’t have a rematch, I’ll be more than happy to meet you again, Tyler, if I have to teach you another lesson. You said it yourself, you’re as new to the POW as I am, but I’m the bigger man. No, you did not mention that second part, but I don’t think someone of such little intelligence would say that. And yes, Tyler, I did say that I was the bigger man. And if you cannot tell the difference between brain size and body size, I don’t think it’s my place to go through and try to teach you something like that, that is common sense. But do you know what I will teach you, Denzum? I will teach you to respect me. I do not expect that respect to come from no where, but I will earn it. I have earned everything in my life, and I am not about to let something be handed to me, ever. This is my life, Denzum, respect and power being earned builds up character. If you’ve been given everything, it makes you less of a person. And that is not my opinion, but it is the truth of life. Those that had to work for what they have, know how to treat it better. And Tyler? I will teach you the fear that you have known, and it will materialize into the very man that you will be meeting inside of the ring, come the end of this week. You barely even know my name, now, but by the end, you will know what kind of pain that I can bring you. You will know the hopes that you have built up, and feel the glass scar your body as your world caves in around you. Denzum, you will fear me, and I will set you up like bowling pins, and knock you over. Big man, you will know what life is like, and I will hope it only takes one time to liberate this into your mind. You…don’t know what my life is like, but I will share with you, part of MY…hell..”
