\\ \\ Action // // Another day, another day to train. That was the way that Vikor liked to look at things. He had a big match coming up, and this was going to be his big debut. All the eyes would be on him, just waiting for him to fuck up. The think that he would surprise people with, is when he went out and didn’t do what they expected him to do. Viktor was a quiet man for most of his life, but it was time that he broke out of that shell. Today was going to be an interesting day. Today, Viktor would meet his friend Jason, for the first time in a long time. Not since high school he had seen him, when Jason was in all of his trouble. The scene opens up, inside of an old warehouse. The wood looks almost cracked, and Viktor stands in the center, wiping his face with a towel. He had just finished a hard workout. He didn’t have the money for equipment, so he resorted to using nothing but push-ups and set-ups for a wile. He was walking along the wood as he heard someone call his name. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: ??? ::) “Viktor.”
\\ \\ Action. // // Viktor looked around quickly, seeing no one, his heart beating fast. He only shook his head and smirked, ‘Must be my imagination.’ He continued to head towards the exit, and as soon as he glanced up, he had time enough to gasp, seeing a man standing before him. This wasn’t an average sized man, he stood at around 6’8, and around three hundred pounds. Viktor looked up at the towering monster, and only shook his head. \\ \\ End Action, // //
Viktor Briggs: ”Jason? You can’t be here. You’re dead.”
\\ \\ Action // // The large man chuckled and pulled up a bench to only sit down. Viktor watched his actions closely. Viktor had known Jason, as a high school friend. The only friend he had had in his entire life. He got drink one night, Jason, and had an accident, a bad one. It was fatal. The next time he would see Jason, would be in a casket, never alive again. But here he was, standing before Viktor, in the flesh. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: Jason ::) “It’s me, and in the flesh. But don’t worry about me now, Viktor. We have things that we need to talk about. You need to get with the program.”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor still stood there in shock, still unsure of what he was supposed to say. He shook his head and sat down, pulling his forehead in the palm of his hand. Now, Viktor could see Jason standing behind him, feeling a pair of ice could hands upon his shoulders, gripping them with a good force. This sent chills down his back. He did miss Jason, but when people died, they didn’t come back. This was only a dream. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: Jason ::) “I’ve been watching you today. You look good. You’re in top physical condition, in even better shape than you were in school. But have you taken sight of Denzum kid? He’s big. And he’s in great shape, probably the best of any athlete in this match. Yet, he has the intelligence of a bird. Are you going to let someone, something like that intimidate you? And don’t tell me that they don’t intimidate you. I hear you in your sleep. You always talk about your matches, muttering things about the POW. I can see what you see. You want this match, more than anything, but you fear loss. Why do you do that?”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor was still amazed by the simple fact he was hearing Jason talk, not to mention what he was even saying. Viktor glances up at Jason and shook his head, now he was standing in front of Viktor, with his arms folded along his large, broad chest. Viktor wasn’t sure to say, or was even sure if he had been hearing what he had been hearing. It was a dream, he had determined that much. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: “You can’t be here. You’re dead. I’m dreaming, this is all nothing but a big dream, and I’m going to wake up at any minute now.”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor stood, tossing his towel over his back, head hung low. As soon as he turned around, his legs locked up into an immediate stop. Jason was standing before him, arms still folded over his chest. Viktor sighed, and glanced up to see his face, Jason was only shaking his head from side to side. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: Jason ::) “You still don’t get it, Viktor. You’re running away from your problems. Now sit down, and listen. Denzum is a big man, but he has no intelligence in him what so ever. Layne? He has the intelligence, but does not have the ability. Neither of them can equal up to what you are. But you’re letting them get inside your mind, to effect the outcome of what’s happening. If you don’t go in this match at one hundred percent, you’re not going to win. You know what. And that’s why you’re scared. This isn’t a dream, Viky boy, this is the harsh reality of the world. These guys are out for your blood, it is on out the tips of their tongues, and they want it back. Denzum is new, and this is his debut, he wants this win as much as you do. Layne, has one win under his belt, and doesn’t want to end what little streak he has already started. They’re just not going to lay down for you, no. You’re going to have the match of your life. Nothing one of those house shows you had before is going to equal this. You’re going to be on your toes at all times.”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor still wasn’t even sure this all was real, but none the less, he did listen to the words that echoed in his head. He stood there, emotionless, not a single muscle in his body pulsing. His eyes were on the ground, as he took all of this in at once. He wasn’t afraid of this match, why in the hell would he be? Facing two guys that were practically no name, they had nothing to offer. But still, Jason was dead. He said that he was afraid of Denzum and Layne, that he wasn’t going to get an easy victory. Viktor knew the victory was going to take some fighting, but he had never known to fear a fight. Fighting is all he had done his entire life, one thing that he had known to do. Jason was beating him down, and knocking him through a loop. He didn’t expect Viktor to come back from that, he didn’t expect Viktor to do anything. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: “I do not fear Layne, nor do I fear Denzum. Denzum is a big guy, and he has the power to crush my back at will, but I will not give him the chance to do so. Tyler will learn, that power and bronze alone will not win a match. Of course, he does have the upper hand with such force, but that doesn’t mean he will win. Have you ever watched a race, before? The fastest car does not always win the race, it comes down to intelligence. Intelligence plays a big part of anything. Denzum has a lot of big things to say, and he does have the might to back them up, but will I let him? No. Layne might let him crush his skull and take a victory, but I won’t let that happen. I have a reputation to keep up. I don’t know how to do much in my life, but one thing that I’ve had to do since I was young, is to fight. The only thing that I know how to do well. Denzum may be able to toss me through a table, but is he going to be able to take a shot to the jaw? Is he going to be able to take a submission when all of his strength has been used up? Denzum is going to be a tough guy to take down, but I have the stamina to do it. I have all the time in the world. After all, I do have more time than I do anything else, so what do I have to lose? Losing this match is not an option, and I will not let it be one. Layne, as well, Layne is a big guy. He may not be as muscular as Denzum, but none the less, I will be put as the underdog of his match, regardless of who knows my name. I work under those conditions much better than most do.”
\\ \\ Action // // Jason chuckled as Viktor kept walking, and outside into the cold. It was so cold outside, that Viktor could see his breath. He was only wearing a pair of black jeans, and a pair of boots, nothing more nor nothing less. He opened the door of his car, and tossed his towel in the back seat and sat down with a sigh. He turned the key over, but it did not start at once. He leant back in his seat, and shook his head, breathing out hard, the cold air still able to be seen from in between his pale lips. Looking in the rear view mirror, he sees Jason in the back seat. He brings his right hand up and slams it down hard onto the wheel, causing it to thud dully. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: Jason ::) “Save your anger, numbnuts. You have to hold that back, until the time is right. Don’t let it just vent out, save it for a time that you really need it. A match cannot be won on heart and skills alone, you must know how to concentrate on your fear and anger. Especially that fear that you deny so well. You’re a good man, Viktor, the best I know, but you need to know when to admit something. Not to mention, your battery cable is unplugged. You might want to check that.”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor turned around quickly, almost moving in a blur, but already the image of the man in the back seat was gone, vanished into mid air. Viktor sat there, breathing the harsh air through his lungs as he turned to look in the back seat again. Not even a print that someone had been back there, not to mention he never did see the cool air passing from Jason’s own lips. Viktor would only shrug, besides, he had already been announced as having a mental disorder. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: “How do I do that, Jason? I don’t know a damn thing about cars.”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor sat there in silence, he had no reply, no nothing. Sighing, he popped the hood with the button next to his hand, and thrust the door open, and opened the hood. Leaning forward, he saw that one of the cables on his battery had indeed been loose. He looked at it for a long time and shook his head. He leant down to start hooking up one of the cables, as Jason’s voice came from behind him again. “Boo.”
Viktor recoiled so quickly, that his head thumped off of the hood of the car, damn it hurt, too, it would be leaving a hell of a head ache later, not to mention that it was already starting to hurt. He could feel blood building up there already. He turned around to see Jason standing there, pacing around outside, laughing coldly. He only time he laughed, the whole time that he talked, there wasn’t an ounce of the cold movement from in front of his mouth as there had been from Viktor’s, and this part was the one that worried him. None the less, Viktor only shook his head, shook it off. But still, that pain had already began to set in his skull, causing the pain to feel immense. \\ \\ End Action. // //
Viktor Briggs: “What the hell did you do that for?”
(:: Jason ::) “I told you that you needed to stay on your toes. That’s only proving my point.”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor shook his head, taking the propped up piece of wood that he had used to hold the hood open, and slammed it shut. He slid back into the car, slamming his door as hard as he had slammed the hood. He immediately turned to his left, to see Jason sitting in his car, smoking a cigarette. Viktor shook his head and turned the key over, this time the car did start. Viktor pumped his hand into the steering wheel again, and put the car into reverse so that he could then pull out. Taking the clutch then over and up, into first gear, he pulled out. The streets were so cold, that he was driving on ice all year around, sliding all over the damn place. Funny thing is, he was used to it by now. But one thing, that he was not used to, was Jason. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: Jason ::) “You need to remember these things, okay dipshit? I’m not going to be around to change your diapers every time you take a shit, you need to learn how to clean up for yourself, and I’m not your damn mother. I’ll tell you something once, but after I tell you that one time, I’ll expect you to remember that. Do you think you can do that much for me, sweetheart?”
\\ \\ Action // // Viktor ignored him. He was going crazy. Talking to his death friend inside of his car, and in the gym? He really was letting things get to him, maybe he really was afraid of what was going on. None the less, he looked forward to the match, and seeing what the fans would think of his abilities, and even better than the crowd, he looked forward to having his own glory. He didn’t care what anyone else thought of him, but this was his time. His time to rise up and be the next star. Not Tyler Denzum, or even Xavier Layne. Their time would come later, anytime but now. Viktor was comfortable with himself and had all the confidence in the world. \\ \\ End Action. // //
(:: Jason ::) “Your house is on the left, in case you forgot.”
