The return of John White to the BBL is akin to something like Eric Cantona returning to the premiership and
signing for Liverpool, for the former BBL Player of the Year has joined the London Towers, despite previously winning silverware with fierce rivals, London Leopards.
the 201cm (6'7") Ameircan forward won back-to-back league titles and a National Cup with the Leopards form 1996 to '98. he also won the Trophy when he moved onto
Manchester Giants for a season in 1998-99. However, he has been away from the BBL for two years, playing in France and in Lithuania. From Manchester, he played for Strasbourg
in France's Pro A. Last season he spent at Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania, before moving to Brest in the French Pro B and finally to Nancy.
The University of Southern Mississippi graduate has previously had stints in Venezuela, Austria, Finland, USA and Cyprus, where he was named League Player of the Year in 1990-91.
In John White, Towers have one of the finest players ever to play in the BBL.
