Kinder London Towers suffered their second loss to Sheffield Sharks in 5 days, losing 70 - 79 at Crystal Palace tonight. Robert Youngblood and John White returned for the Towers, but they were without centre Ted Allen who injured his calf in last night's game against the Bullets. Towers started best with a 7 point tear to lead by 5 early in the first quarter, but with 2.29 on the clock they were down by 1. At the end of the first quarter, Towers were down by 5. A strong start to the second quarter got the Towers to within 2 points, but with 3 minutes to play, Sharks were up by 8. At the end of the half, Towers were down by 12. Another strong start to the second half got the Towers within 2 after 11 unanswered points. However, the Sharks weathered the storm and at the end of the third quarter, Towers were down by 9. Towers got to within 5 points early in the final quarter but despite a strong late effort including a 3 from John White, Towers suffered the loss by 9 points. Robert Youngblood top scored for the Towers with 19 points.
