Kinder London Towers ran out winners for their opening game of their NEBL campaign against Pertemps Birmingham Bullets tonight at Crystal Palace. A John White 3 took Towers into an early 5 point lead but by the first time out with 3.44 left, the Bullets lead by 5. Bullets put together two 10 point tears to finish the quarter up by 13.
At the first time out of the second quarter, Bullets lead by 11. However, an 8 point tear from the Towers with 3s from Terrell Myers and Silas Cheung, closed the gap. At half time, the Bullets lead by 7.
A 3 pointer from Terrell Myers made it a level ball game. Brant Bailey picked up his fourth foul and Towers were back in the lead. However, a technical on coach David Lindstrom, put the Bullets back in front. Three 3s from Brett Eppehimer helped put the Towers ahead and at the end of the third quarter, Towers were up by 4. Brett Eppehimer scored 17 points in the quarter.
Early in the final quarter, Terrell Myers scored his third straight 3 and then picked up his fourth foul. At the time out with 5.58 left, Towers were up by 11. Bullets came back with a 10 point tear, but Towers pushed on helped by yet another 3 from Terrell Myers. Rob Paternostro picked his fifth foul followed by a technical on the Birmingham bench and a Ted Allen dunk finished the game for Towers.
