Kinder London Towers ran out the winners in the close fought London derby at Crystal Palace tonight. Terrell Myers started the scoring for Towers but a 10 point tear put the Leopards ahead. At the first time out with 4.07 left, the Leopards had a 4 point lead. Three pointers from Brett Eppehimer and Terrell Myers and an unsportsmanlike foul on Rico Alderson contributed to a 9 - 2 tear from the Towers to end a frantic first quarter with the home team up by 7. The second quarter was close fought all the way, with the half ending with the Towers leading by just two points. Towers came out strong for the third quarter and at the first time out with 6.44 left, the Towers lead by 10. The Leopards responded with 9 unanswered points to get within 3. At the end of the third quarter, it was Towers by 6. Soon into the start of the final quarter, Eric Mann and Rod Brown picked up their fourth fouls, Eric Mann fouling out shortly after. Ted Allen picked up his fourth foul with 4.03 to play and Towers up by 2. Silas Cheung shot a big 3 with 1.35 left in the ball game to put Towers up by 5. John White picked up his fourth foul and coach David Lindstrom called time out with 21 seconds left with the score level. The final shot of the game was a Ted Allen dunk. Coach Chris Pullem called time out with .1 of a second to play, but the Leopards were unable to make the score. Terrell Myers was the top scorer, with a game high 37.
