You wonder if she'll leave you
Wonder if she'll find out the truth
Curious how she'll tell you that the two of you are through
You wonder if she feels she's misspent her youth
You feel like you'll lose her
While being preoccupied with all this mess
and questioning her love for you are never quite so sure
So you watch her leave without any distress
She no longer feels the love
She no longer feels you care
because all you do is question God above
and you never show her that you're there
Your mind was in the right place
but your heart seems to have gotten lost
Your soul knew the right face
but with all this worry you never thought about the cost
There she goes you knew it all along
There she goes carrying your heart away
You knew you weren't wrong
but you knew you should've begged her to stay
