Teenage Dirtbag...

She doesn't know what she's missing
She doesn't know who he's been kissing

He doesn't know her heart belongs to someone new
He doesn't know why she's been so blue

She knows there's been talk around
She knows he's lower than the dirt on the ground

He gets angry at the drop of a hat
He always knows where his girl is at

Each of them is thinking of a better one
Yet both would rather die than to tell anyone

She goes out alone at night
While He holds someone else tight

He thinks she's sitting in her room alone
While She watches him grope her from a pay phone

She finally sees that she's free
But will He actually let her be?

He sees her watching him and She smiles and waves
When his jaw drops she turns to walk away

He jumps up and catches up
She shakes her head no as she walks

He stops in his tracks
While She doesn't look back

She heads over to a new house
Feeling sheepish and as small as a mouse

She's ready to knock
But her heart is about to stop

Will he take her in his arms
Or will he break her heart and cause her harm

She knocks, taking that chance
Not stepping away from love's new dance

Her heart beats when he opens the door
It seems as if he's surprised as his jaw drops to the floor

Her heart stops racing
because it's her future she's facing

I left him for you
I can't believe it's over I can't believe it's finally through

She said as her voice lowered in sound
She watched as he looked around

How can this be true I'm just a teenage dirtbag, baby
Could this be a joke, Maybe?

No, she replied
Then he begged her for the truth not a lie

She dropped her purse and moved in for the kill
his body heat was taking away the night's chill

Feeling their lips together
She knew it could be forever

His arms wrapped around her waist at last
Not letting another moment pass

He's always wanted her just didn't have the guts
To tell her she was the only one who drove him nuts

He's glad she dumped the jerk for him
But the reason why stirred a question within

Did he care if she wanted love or just sex
Of course not it didn't matter one way or the next

When she stepped back away from him she smiled
I'm just a teenage dirtbag so can I just stay awhile

He smiled and stepped aside
while she walked inside
