As I write this I'm thinking of you again
My lost love, my lover, my friend
Things have changed between you and I
and now we're like night and day, earth and sky
We haven't spoken in awhile
Though my heart is with you every last mile
I know what you think because I think it too
I know what you do because a part of me is with you
There's this pain deep down inside
Yet I'm glad to know there wasn't a bitter goodbye
We each grew apart and up a bit
The candle never blew out for us, it still remains lit
I feel this need to talk once more
to remind me exactly what's this life for
It's for friends like you and me
When together can tame the wildest sea
I miss our talks
and our fantasy walks
I miss your humor and the way we could talk all night
I miss our hello's and especially our g'nites
The only thing I hope will never change
Is that our friendship always remains
Without you I don't know where I'd be
Probably sitting alone by that wildest sea
