We start our 'stadium-tour' at the West Stand. The club is building a new Stand which will replace the West Stand in the future. That's one of the reasons that this side of the stadium doesn't look too nice at the moment.

West Ham is improving the whole ground. The clubs stays at Upton park, but the pitch will be moved several meters. The stadium will have a capacity of 40.000 when the building works are finished (2003).

We have tickets for the West Stand, but we want to see the other stands first before we go in.

De most fanatical supporters are seated on the Bobby Moore Stand.

This is the biggest and most moedern stand of the ground. Behind the Bobby Moore Stand there's a clubhouse/pub for the fans (members only). We walk towards the other end of the stand to shoot the nice picture below.

From here you can look into the stadium a bit. The Bobby Moore Stand looks really great from here. We can't wait to go in ...
